Tracy J. Niewoehner

Tracy J. Niewoehner, 58, of Sumner, died Monday, February 23, 2015, at his home in rural Sumner.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at St. Peter Lutheran Church-Richfield with Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour preceding services at the church on Saturday. Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner is assisting the family.  

Tracy Jay, son of Walter and Esther (Mann) Niewoehner was born May 21, 1956, at Sumner, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church-Richfield of rural Sumner. He received his education in Sumner schools, graduating from Sumner High School in 1974. Tracy was employed as a welder at Atwood and later Dura Corporation in West Union. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by a brother, Richard (Bonnie) Niewoehner of Sumner; two sisters. Janice Heinemann of Waverly and Nancy Niewoehner of Fredericksburg; one niece, Hope (Dennis) Balvanz of Shell Rock; two nephews, Wade (Lisa) Niewoehner of Manson and Tim (Mandy) Heinemann of Waverly; two great-nieces, Ella and Lydia Niewoehner; and two great-nephews, Cody Davison and Easton Heinemann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Lowell Heinemann.
